Holy Cow Joe Bataan Is Great

I mean, seriously, great. Riot might be a good record to start with, but it would be a crime of me to not mention how great a name "St. Latin's Day Massacre" is.

Song of the Day: Willie Colon - Che Che Cole

I've been really into these Fania records lately. Also Willie Colon was pretty bad ass. These are both statements. 2011 is the year of Salsa and Gospel. So it has been said, so it will be.

Song of the Day: Celia Cruz - Quimbara

Last night I couldn't sleep and ended up downloading Salsa albums until I passed out again. The highlight of these, from the Global Groove blog, is Super Salsa Singers Volume 1, which happens to feature the best album cover of all time. Thank you insomnia!
